Wow. I’ve been working on launching a podcast for about eight months. Yesterday I did just that. I’ve pushed through the fear, the procrastination, the uncertainty, and the plain not having a clue about how to do something and I did it. And I’m proud of myself!
So now what? I’m taking a day (sort of) to rest on my laurels and regroup. It’s been A LOT of work. Part of me is breathing a sigh of relief. Good, bad, or ugly (and I think it’s a little of all those things) my podcast is out there. The other part of me knows the hard work continues. I need to continue to research topics, seek out guests to talk with, schedule interviews, edit, publish, and upload. Lather, rinse, repeat. And it will get easier, and I will get better.
I’ve been an RN for 34 years. I am no stranger to hard work. This work feels enjoyable and necessary. And infinitely easier in so many ways to the hands on care I have provided thousands of people in my career. But still hugely important. And necessary.
My long term goal is to make a difference for our aging population and the people who care for them. The topic is tough. I think I’m going to ruffle some feathers and put some people off. Oh well. I’ve been doing that for years, why should I stop now? I’m about to start a revolution!
I don’t have the answers. I’m here to bring awareness to the struggles people face and try to come up with some alternative solutions. If you have topics you would like to hear about please leave suggestions in the comments section below. And don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast, like, and leave a review!
